Acupuncture

Acupuntura Acupuncture is a treatment method with the application of needles into specific points on the body surface developed in China thousands of years ago and based on philosophical concepts (Taoism), energy theories (Yin / Yang) and flow of energy (Qi) that run through the body (meridians). The application of needles could alter the flow of energy and influence to improve the physical and mental health.

Acupuncture is one of the methods used in traditional Chinese medicine which also include Tui Na ( massage on meridian points ) , moxibustion ( application of heat in the burning points of medicinal herb Artemisia ) , ventosaterapia ( applying suction cups ) , Chinese herbs ( use of herbs and drugs of animal and mineral ) origin, Chinese diet therapy ( use of natural foods for health promotion) and physical practices ( such as meditation and exercise Qigong and Tai Chi Chuan ) . All these techniques are based on the same philosophical concepts and energy flow .
Western medical view of acupuncture is that the needle insertion site promotes a neurological reaction (local excitation of nerve endings and release of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system) and an immune reaction ( release of immunomodulators ) acting in controlling pain , inflammation and the autonomic nervous system . There are times that the pain arise merely repeating the exercise creating anchors limits . So we rely on the immediate blocking of application exercises and acupuncture.
